Alexis Sanchez has sustained a thigh strain to his right thigh according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Near the end of Inter’s 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter finals of the Europa League, the player pulled up and had to receieve treatment from the club’s medical staff.

He managed to hobble off of the pitch and was bandaged up before managing to return to the playing field for what remained of the match.

It now remains to be seen just how serious the injury is and whether Sanchez will be available for Inter’s Europa League semi final against Shakhtar Donetsk or FC Basel in the coming days.

The Chilean national team star, who recently joined Inter on a permanent basis after freeing himself from Manchester United, made his 31st appearance across all competitions this season for the Nerazzurri club. The former Barcelona and Arsenal player was however unable to add to his tally of four goals and ten asssists.
