Inter striker Romelu Lukaku and central defender Diego Godin have both been named in the official Europa League team of the week for their performances in Inter’s Europa League quarter final success over Bayer Leverkusen earlier on this week.
Lukaku was arguably Inter’s best performer on Monday night as the Nerazzurri saw off the Bundesliga side 2-1 with him scoring Inter’s second and causing Bayer Leverkusen all sorts of problems during the game at the Merkur Spiel-Arena.
Veteran Uruguayan national team player Godin meanwhile continued his recent positive run of form with another solid performance in the defence.
Aside from the Inter duo, there are representatives in team from FC Copenhagen, Shakhtar Donetsk, Manchester United and Sevilla.
The official Europa League team of the week is as follows: (4-4-2): Karl-Johan Johnsson (FC Copenhagen); Dodo (Shakhtar Donetsk), Harry Maguire (Manchester United), Diego Godin (Inter), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Manchester United); Taison (Shakhtar Donetsk), Ever Banega (Sevilla), Marlos (Shakhtar Donetsk), Anthony Martial (Manchester United); Junior Moraes (Shakhtar Donetsk), Romelu Lukaku (Inter).
