Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that he has taken a liking to Inter owned winger Ivan Perisic who is currently on loan with them.

Perisic joined the Bundesliga club on a season long loan ahead of this season and the loan was recently extended to enable the Croatian national team player to play in the remainder of the Bundesliga season and Champions League.

“Perisic is a player I like. He may not always play spectacularly, but he is effective and does his job,” former Inter player Rummenigge explained in an interview with the online edition of German news outlet Abendzeitung München.

A report from German broadcaster Sport1 explains that Bayern Munich intend on intensifying contact with Inter over Perisic once the Champions League is over.

The Bavarian club hope that Inter will further drop their demands. Bayern Munich and Inter initially agreed to a €20 million purchase option as part of the loan and that option has now expired. Inter’s demands have dropped to €15 million but Bayern Munich hope to be able to buy Perisic for no more than €10 million.
