Barcelona captain Lionel Messi will be the one who decides where his future likes according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Argentine national team player’s contract with Barcelona is due to expire at the end of the upcoming season and there has been no shortage of speculation with regard to where his future may lie.
“He decides his future and not the teams who want to buy him,” Di Marzio explained whilst present in the studios of Sky Sport Italia a short time ago.
Inter are one of the clubs to have been linked with a potential move for Messi and Di Marzio discussed Inter’s stance when it comes to the multi-time world player of the year: “If an opening comes, Inter will be ready to take advantage but to date, no openings have arrived.”
In conclusion Di Marzio shared his doubts regarding Messi leaving Barcelona, where he has spent his entire playing career todate.
“Compared to Ronaldo, he is less competitiveness. He is fine in Barcelona. I don’t feel any signs of change.”
This season Messi has made 43 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totals just over 3700 minutes, he has scored 31 goals and provided a total of 26 assists for his teammates.
