Legendary Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso believes that Inter can make it into the Europa League final but should not underestimate Europa League semi final opponents Shakhtar Donetsk.

Inter have set themselves up fo a semi final date with the Ukranian outfit after a 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Monday night and the former Argentine national team player started by reviewing the match against the Bundesliga club.

“Inter have had two important performances. Against Bayer Leverkusen they had to kill the game off but instead they suffered,” Cambiasso explained whilst present in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, earlier on today.

“By repeating that performance Inter can go to the final but they should be beware of Shakthar. They are a team that boasts seven physical Ukrainians and four imaginative Brazilians. They can be dangerous.”

Inter are due to take on Shakhtar Donetsk on Monday night at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany and the winner of the match will play the winner of Manchester United versus Sevilla in the final on August 21.

Cambiasso spent a tropghy filled decade on Inter’s books between 2004 and 2014. He made 431 appearances across all competitions for the club, in which he scored 51 goals and provided 34 assists for his teammates.
