Italian Media Claim Inter Offered Dynamo Kiev’s Vitalij Mykolenko But Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri Still The First Choice

Inter have been offered the chance to sign Dynamo Kyiv defender Vitalij Mykolenko according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

The Ukrainian national team player has been offered to the Nerazzurri club and has also drawn links to Inter’s fellow Serie A sides Napoli and Roma.

In the 2019/20 season, the 21-year-old made 36 appearances across all competitions. In his time on the park, which totalled just over 3100 minutes, Mykolenko scored four goals and provided a total of seven assists for his teammates.

Inter have already reinforced at right wing-back ahead of the upcoming season and plan to do the same on the left hand side.

Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri remains the Nerazzurri’s first choice and Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are working on reducing Chelsea’s €30 million demands for him.

Atalanta’s Robin Gosens is also on Inter’s shortlist but it will not be easy to convince the Bergamo club to give a discount given the high interest in Gosens.

Cristiano Biraghi, who is currently on loan at Inter, looks set to have his loan extended until the end of the season and the report explains that this happening will not rule out another left wing-back being signed.
