Tottenham Hotspur will make a contract offer to Inter’s Milan Skriniar in a bid to convince him to join them from Inter according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

The Slovakian national team defender is understood to be liked by Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho and contact between the clubs over a potential swap deal involving Skriniar and Tanguy Ndombele are ongoing.

At the moment Skriniar would like to stay with Inter, despite sliding down the pecking order in recent matches and Inter manager Antonio Conte does not see him as fundamental to the Inter project.

If Skriniar goes on to be convinced by Spurs’ offer to him, which will likely be much higher than the €4 million a year he currently receieves from Inter, then the two clubs could then discuss evaluations of the players, which will unlikely be any less than €50 million.

The report goes on to explain that if a sacrifice were necessary for the sake of the transfer window, Conte would indicate Skriniar is expendable to him but should Conte not remain in charge of Inter, things would change and Inter would look for another midfield reinfrocement to Ndombele.
