In order to aim to win the Serie A title, Inter manager Antonio Conte will demand the signings of several players and Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta will have to sell players to raise transfer funds according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the finances in football have been drastically impacted and as a direct consequence of this, the upcoming transfer window will look a lot different than normal and many clubs, including Inter, will need to sell players to raise funds.

The report goes on to explain that Inter could well sell both Ivan Perisic and Radja Nainggolan to raise some funds for transfers.

Perisic has spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Bayern Munich and their option to buy him has expired and he will therefore return to Milan once his loan deal expires once Bayern Munich’s Champions League campaign comes to an end.

Nainggolan is also set to return to Inter after a loan spell with Cagliari, who are reportedly keen on signing him permanently.
