Inter manager Antonio Conte and club management have different views when it comes to who should be signed to be the fourth choice striker in the upcoming season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Conte, who is facing an uncertain future in charge, wants players who are ready immediately to make a difference and wants several players signed in addition to a fourth choice striker to improve the team but the report stresses that Inter will not go mad with spending money.

Former Italian national team boss Conte would like an experienced head brought in to complete the attack and wants Roma captain Edin Dzeko to be the fourth choice option in the attack which will also contain Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez.

Inter management would prefer to add a young player to be the fourth choice. Former players Andrea Pinamonti and Federico Bonazzoli, now of Genoa and Sampdoria respectively, are both under consideration whilst Eddie Salcedo, who is already an Inter player, could be utilised as the fourth choice in the coming season.

The report concludes that in the event Inter and Conte do not continue on together, Inter will move to appoint Max Allegri as his replacement and it can be presumed that transfer targets will change if that happens.
