Inter Want To Continue With & Satisfy Antonio Conte’s Requests But Only If No More Public Outbursts Occur

Inter president Steven Zhang is yet to have had the opportunity to have spoken with Inter manager Antonio Conte according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Zhang returned to Milan two nights ago after being stuck in his native China for the last five months due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

In his first full day back in Milan, Zhang met with club chief executives Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Alessandro Antonello who are in control of the sporting and corporate sections of the club respectively. The meeting took place yesterday afternoon and began at 14:30 local time and lasted for a long time.

Although Zhang has not met with Conte, the report goes on to explain that the Nerazzurri club have clear ideas. They want to continue investing in a targetted manner, they believe in the importance of the work done by Conte so far and they still want to work with him as they know he is the right man to help the club win.

When Zhang meets Conte, he will lay out a number of conditions that he will expect Conte to respect. In short the club are ready to satisfy him on the transfer market but cannot tolerate any further public outbursts from Conte.

During his visit to club headquarters Zhang met with all staff and he will today be at Inter’s training complex to see the new buildings that have been built in his absence.

The report concludes that on Sunday he will fly to Dusseldorf, Germany, for Inter’s Europa League semi final versus Shakhtar Donetsk on Monday.
