There is little chance that Alexis Sanchez will be able to recover in time to feature for Inter in the Europa League final if they make it that far according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

In Monday night’s Europa League quarter final win over Bayer Leverkusen Sanchez sustained an injury and tests conducted yesterday confirmed that the Chilean national team player has sustained a strain in his right hamstring.

The former Manchester United player, who recently completed a permanent switch to Inter on a three year contract, will certainly miss Inter’s Europa League semi final with Shakhtar Donetsk this coming Monday.

The report goes on to explain that Inter manager Antonio Conte and the club’s medical staff will evaluate Sanchez’s condition over the coming days.

This season Sanchez has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.
