Winning the Europa League is crucial for both Inter and coach Antonio Conte for multiple reasons, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri would pocket around €15-20 million should they win the European competition, and it would see them finish at the top of the Champions League draw, a strong advantage for next season.

Conte also needs to prove himself before the end of the season, after outbursts in the media led some to suggest that he could be replaced at the end of the season.

The Inter management don’t want to dismiss the 51-year-old Italian coach, the report continues, but won’t accept certain transfer market requests that directly contradict their strategy.

Conte wants to sign more experienced players like Emerson Palmieri or Arturo Vidal, whilst the Milanese club’s management are looking for young talent like Sandro Tonali and Marash Kumbulla. Winning the Europa League gives Conte more bargaining power this summer with the management.
