Premier League side Everton are interested in signing Napoli midfielder Allan, upsetting a potential player exchange with Inter, according to a report from English tabloid the Express yesterday.

The report details how the 29-year-old Brazilian midfielder fits the requirements of Inter coach Antonio Conte perfectly and so is a transfer target this summer for the Milanese club.

The Nerazzurri could look for a possible player exchange involving Matias Vecino, who was close to leaving Milan in January, but Everton’s interest may kill the idea.

Napoli aren’t looking to accept less than £36 million for Allan, the report continues, and the Italian club are doubtful that Carlo Ancelotti’s team will be able to pay that figure.

For now, the English side haven’t offered more than £20 million, but there is still the chance that the two parties will meet in the middle. Inter are remaining interested, ready to get stuck in over the next few weeks.
