Barcelona star Lionel Messi would be ready to leave the club at the end of next season if there are no changes at the club, according to a report from Spanish media outlet Partidazo Cope earlier today on Twitter.

The report details how the 33-year-old Argentine forward failed to help his side in their shocking 8-2 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich last night, ending a fairly unhappy season for the star. Inter have been dreaming of signing him for some time and this latest development further gives the Milanese club hope.

Messi’s contract expires with Barcelona in 2021, the report continues, and if president Josep Mario Bartomeu doesn’t make any sweeping changes then he would be willing to leave on a free transfer.

Partidazo Cope described the situation, saying: “Messi is fed up and is clear with the club: if there are no real changes at Barcelona, a complete restructuring, then he will not continue past 2021.”

The 33-year-old made 44 appearances across all competitions this season, for a total of 3810 minutes. In that time, he has scored 31 goals and provided 26 assists.
