Inter will make a decisive attempt to sign Hellas Verona starlet Marash Kumbulla upon completion of their Europa League campaign, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are in the pole position in the race to sign the 20-year-old Albanian defender, who is contracted to the Gialloblu until 2022.

He impressed in his debut season in Serie A, attracting the attention of many top clubs, including Lazio, who are also working hard to secure the player’s signature.

Inter will look to close out the deal for Kumbulla once their Europa League campaign concludes, the report continues, and aren’t worried that Lazio will close out the deal beforehand.

The 20-year-old Albanian defender made 26 appearances across all competitions this season for Verona, for a total of 2078 minutes. In that time, he scored one goal and helped the side keep seven clean sheets.
