Inter president Steven Zhang’s primary objective is to ensure the players and manager Antonio Conte feel supported by the club owners according to a report in yesterday’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Zhang returned to Milan in the past few days having been stuck in his native China since March due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Even whilst unable to be there in the flesh, Zhang did his utmost to ensure he always remained connected with the club and he spoke with club management on a daily basis to get a run down on how things are going.

Zhang also had a telephone call with Inter manager Antonio Conte following his public outburst after the win over Atalanta and this is proof of Zhang always being close to the team.

The report from the Milan based news outlet states that his first full day back in Milan was like a new beginning.
