A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has analysed four crucial head-to-heads in Inter’s upcoming Europa League semi-final against Shakhtar Donetsk next week.

The report begins by discussing the matchup between Nerazzurri defender Diego Godin and Brazilian forward Taison. The 32-year-old could draw the Uruguayan veteran out of position and attack the space left behind him, so Danilo D’Ambrosio’s help will be needed to contain the Brazilian.

The next challenge will be between Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and another Brazilian forward Alan Patrick. The 29-year-old plays behind the centre forward and will attempt to shut down the Inter midfielder’s creative game.

Another interesting head-to-head is between Englishman Ashley Young and Brazilian right back Dodo, the report continues. The 21-year-old spends more time running forwards than backwards and so will keep the pressure on the former Manchester United full back.

The final duel will be between Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku and Georgian defender Davit Khocholava. The 27-year-old Shakhtar defender is strong and 1.92 meters tall, and so will hope his physicality will be able to contain the tough Belgian.
