Arrigo Sacchi: “I Always Bet On Inter Coach Antonio Conte, You’ll See That He’ll Succeed”

Former Italy and AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi discussed the work of Inter coach Antonio Conte and his tactics ahead of tomorrow evening’s Europa League semi-finals between the Nerazzurri and Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper il Giornale.

“I always bet on Antonio because I know him well and I know that he desperately loves his work, the work that’s done well.

“He’ll have to play three in defence, do some pressing, get the team moving all together and you’ll see that he’ll succeed.”

Conte’s Inter finished second in the league table this season, finishing a bitter one point behind rivals and perennial winners Juventus.

The Nerazzurri also disappointing crashed out of the Champions League and fell to Napoli in the Coppa Italia semi-finals, so the Europa League represents the 51-year-old Italian coach’s last hope to win a trophy in his first year in charge.

Conte will meet with the club’s management at the end of the season in order to discuss transfer market objective and, more importantly, the future of their work together. The former Chelsea and Italy boss complained publicly in the media about the club’s failure to protect the squad and the coach in the press.
