Inter president Steven Zhang and manager Antonio Conte will still meet regardless if Inter win the Europa League or not according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.
Conte’s future is up in the air after a recent public outburst, during which he slammed club management, and a meeting is scheduled to take place between Zhang and Conte to discuss things and his future once Inter’s Europa League campaign comes to an end.
Thanks to some mediation from Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta the situation has calmed and the physical presence of Zhang, who recently returned to Europe after being stuck in China due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has further calmed things down.
The meeting between Zhang and Conte could take place tonight if Inter are eliminated from the competition by Shakhtar Donetsk or it will take place on Friday after the Europa League final, if Inter make it.
