Borussia Monchengladbach are close to finalisng a deal with Inter for Valentino Lazaro according to a report from the online edition of German news outlet Kicker.
A one year loan deal with an option to buy set at just under €20 million has been agreed and the Austrian wing-back appears set to join the Bundesliga outfit.
For some time now Die Fohlen have been seen as favourites to land Lazaro, who only joined Inter in a circa €20 million deal from Hertha Berlin prior to the 2019/20 season, the second half of which he spent out on loan at Premier League side Newcastle United.
The report goes on to state that Lazaro knows Borussia Monchengladbach manager Marco Rose very well due to them both being at RB Salzburg together and also knows the style of play that Rose uses well.
It also adds that despite not all details having been defined by the two clubs yet, Lazaro could well join his new teammates at their training camp today.
