Inter have no plans to meet Hellas Verona’s demands for Marash Kumbulla according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper FCInterNews.

Hellas Verona continue to demand €30 million for the highly rated Albanian national team player but Inter will look to lower the cost by including add-ons and players with Eddie Salcedo and Federico Dimarco currently the two most popular names.

Inter are competing with Lazio for Kumbulla and both clubs have agreed terms with the player on the basis of a five year deal with an annual salary of €1.5 million plus add-ons a year and the salary is destined to grow over the duration of the contract too.

The report also goes on to deny reports elsewhere in the media that have suggested Inter are in advanced negotiations to sign Chris Smalling.

Smalling’s representatives have offered him to the Nerazzurri who are currently evaluating things and the report also adds that Roma, where Smalling spent the 2019/20 season on loan, remain in pole position to sign him and have offered him a three year contract.

Manchester United are hopeful that a bidding war takes place for Smalling but Inter will be making no move until their Europa League journey comes to an end.
