Inter’s transfer market is on standby until the future of Inter manager Antonio Conte is resolved according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The former Italian national team manager’s future is up in the air following a recent public outburst after Inter’s win over Atalanta.

Conte met with Inter president Steven Zhang upon his arrival in Dusseldorf, Germany, where Inter have based themselves for the latter stages of the Europa League and the meeting was cordial although any talks regarding Conte’s future are on hold until Inter’s season concludes.

Inter have put things on standby with regard to the transfer window as a change of manager would almost certainly lead to a change in transfer targets.

Max Allegri has been rumoured as a possible successor to Conte if he leaves and it could be the case that Allegri would wish to play a back four unlike Conte, who plays with a back three.

Ivan Perisic, who is currently out on loan at Bayern Munich, could even be reintegrated into the Inter team depending on the outcome of the coaching situation.

Regardless of who is in charge though, the report states that Inter need to find a new left back/left wing-back. Emerson Palmieri has been heavily linked with Inter and the idea of signing Filip Kostic is back in vogue too.
