The possibility of Antonio Conte leaving Inter at the end of the season has reduced but there are still issues which need to be resolved according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Conte is due to meet with Inter president Steven Zhang once Inter’s season concludes to discuss the future and the recent issues that have surfaced and this meeting will happen regardless of whether Inter win the Europa League or not.
In China it is frowned upon for an employee to criticse their employer and therefore Conte, who earns €12 million net a year plus an additional €2 million in add-ons, will have show to remorse for his recent actions.
The thoughts of leaving Inter have slightly dispersed in Conte’s head in recent weeks with people close to him pointing out that Inter could really challenge to win the Serie A title due to Juventus appointing the inexperienced Andrea Pirlo.
The report goes on to conclude that it remains to be seen whether Conte will be satisfied with what Inter offer him as they have no intention of granting him full powers or guaranteeing him another transfer window where €180 million will be spent.
