Inter’s striker partnership Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez are on a run of nine straight games in Europe with at least a goal between them a report in today’s print eition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has highlighted.

The Belgian and Argentine national team striker’s have struck up a solid partnership with one another and the last time the duo drew blank in Europe was in the first Champions League group stage meeting with Slavia Prague.

Between them, Lukaku and Lautaro have scored a combined total of 50 goals during the 2019/20 season, 11 more than tonight’s opponents Shakhtar Donetsk’s highest scoring duo Junior Moraes and Marlos.

The report that highlights Lukaku is on a run of nine straight Europa League matches with a goal, a competition record which he set with his goal in the quarter final win over Bayer Leverkusen.

The report goes on to conclude that Lukaku is aiming to match Ronaldo’s debut campaign tally of 34 whilst Lautaro is hoping to grab one more goal to hit the 20 goal mark for the season.
