Shakhtar Donetsk full back Dodô spoke to gathered reporters at a press conference yesterday, discussing his side’s Europa League semi-finals clash against Inter this evening and how they’ve studied the Nerazzurri. His words were noted by Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

“Throughout this week we’ve studied Inter very well. I think we’re ready for this challenge. It’s not the defense that’s Inter’s biggest problem, on the contrary their attack will create a lot of problems for us so we have to be careful. But we’ve prepared for it very well.”

The 21-year-old Brazilian full back then touched on what it would mean to the players should they beat the Milanese club and qualify for the finals.

“It would be a crazy moment, great gratitude for the whole team. But the semifinal is already a great achievement, then tomorrow we’ll do everything we can to go to the final and write this day into history.”

Dodô is one of the club’s brightest stars, impressing this season with the Ukrainian club. The 21-year-old Brazilian has made 33 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2548 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided six assists, providing another solid attacking threat for Shakhtar.

This evening’s clash against the Ukrainian side is one of the most important games of the season for both the Inter squad and coach Antonio Conte. The 51-year-old Italian will meet with the club’s management at the conclusion of their European campaign to discuss transfer market goals and his future with the team.
