Lionel Messi has told his Barcelona teammates that he wants to leave the club according to a report from sports broadcaster ESPN Argentina.
Messi’s contract with Barcelona is set to expire at the end of the upcoming season and it is understood that he is becoming increasingly tempted by the prospect of moving on to pastures new having spent the entirety of his playing career with the La Liga club thus far.
As per the report Messi has told teammates he wants to depart the Blaugrana side and there are three clubs who are dreaming about being able to signing him with those clubs being Inter, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.
33-year-old Messi, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest football players of all time, made 44 appearances across all competitions during the 2019/20 season. In just over 3800 minutes, the Argentine national team player scored 31 goals and provided 26 assists for his teammates.
