Valentino Lazaro will undergo a medical with Borussia Monchengladbach today according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter and the Bundesliga club have agreed a loan with option to buy deal for the Austrian national team player with the option to buy set €20 million.
Lazaro joined Inter ahead of the 2019/20 season from Hertha Berlin in a circa €20 million deal but an injury in pre-season set him back and led to him struggling to break into the Inter first team in the first half of the season.
Due to this, the former RB Salzburg player was loaned out to Premier League club Newcastle United for the second half of the season but he struggled to cement a regular place in the starting line-up.
During the 2019/20 season, Lazaro made 26 appearances across all competitions, between his spell with Inter and Newcastle United. In his time on the park he scored two goals and provided as many assists.
