In addition to wanting to add experience to the squad, Inter also want to add some promising youngsters according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter have a long standing interest in signing Sandro Tonali and also face competition from arch rivals Juventus, whose interest in the Brescia and Italian national team midfielder has been revived following the appointment of Andrea Pirlo as manager.

AC Milan made an attempt to sign Tonali but their €25 million offer failed to swing things in their favour with Inter remaining in pole position to sign Tonali, who is widely regarded as one of the best Italian prospects out there right now. Inter are however yet to make the right offer to Brescia president and owner Massimo Cellino.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to add that Inter also really like Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla.

Kumbulla had a first team breakthrough in the 2019/20 season and he has been followed by Inter for several months but not only the Nerazzurri. Lazio are also keen and trying to come back in for Kumbulla but it appears that his will is to end up at Inter.
