Italian Media Label Lautaro Martinez As Inter’s Star Performer Against Shakhtar Donetsk

Inter striker Lautaro Martinez was the Nerazzurri’s best performing player in their emphatic 5-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk last night according to the player ratings published in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Argentine national team player scored twice and also provided an assist for one of strike partner Romelu Lukaku’s goals and he has been awarded a rating of 8.5/10 for his efforts in the match at the Merkur Spiel-Arena.

Lukaku was Inter’s joint next best performer due to his two goals scored. The Belgian national team player got 7.5/10, the same rating that Inter central midfielder Nicolo Barella, who assisted Lautaro’s first goal, receieved.

Diego Godin, Stefan de Vrij, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Marcelo Brozovic all got ratings of 7/10 whilst Samir Handanovic, Alessandro Bastoni and Roberto Gagliardini all got 6.5/10.

The worst performances of the night came from wing-backs Ashley Young and Cristiano Biraghi with both players getting 6/10.
