La Liga clubs Celta Vigo and Real Betis could both make moves to sign Inter midfielder Joao Mario according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.
Celta Vigo are open to taking the Portuguese national team player on loan with an option to buy whilst Real Betis could be able to sign him on a permanent basis with thanks to their new owners.
In order to not record a loss on the sale of the former Sporting CP player, who spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Russian Premier League side Lokomotiv Moscow, Inter must get at least €13 million for Joao Mario.
The report goes on to explain that Marseille, who have been linked with him in recent weeks and months, have had to abandon their pursuit due to the way in which the club’s finances have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Benfica have also made contact with Inter regarding the player but as of yet they have not submitted any offer for him. The report concludes that his representatives are hard at work trying to find their client a new club.
