Inter made Europa League semi final history with their hammering of Shakhtar Donetsk on Monday night according to sports data and analysis company Opta.
Inter ran out resounding 5-0 winners over the Ukrainian Premier League Champions at the Merkur Spiel-Arena with thanks to braces from both Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku and the other goal came from Danilo D’Ambrosio.
In winning 5-0, Opta have highlighted that Inter have become the first team in UEFA Cup/Europa League history to win a semi final by scoring five more goals than their opponents.
