Inter are weighing up taking up their option which allows them to re-sign Gabriele Zappa from Pescara according to a report from Italian news outlet PassioneInter.com.

Inter sold Zappa to the Delfini club back in January 2019 and as part of the deal a buy-back option was included and Inter can therefore bring the Italian youth national team player back to the club for a sum of €4 million.

The report goes on to explain that Inter’s fellow Serie A club Cagliari are interested in signing Zappa. The Sardinia based club, who have recently brought Eusebio Di Francesco in as manager, want to bring in a mix of youth and experience as they look to improve on their 2019/20 season next season.

During the 2019/20 season, Zappa made 26 appearances across all competitions. In his time on the park, which totalled just over 2200 minutes, he scored a total of five goals and also registered a single assist.
