Marseille have dropped their interest in signing Inter wing-back Kwadwo Asamoah according to a report from Ghanian news outlet Ghanasoccer.net.com.

The Ligue 1 club made an offer to Inter for the Ghanaian player but Inter held firm with their €3 million demands for Asamoah and Marseille deemed this figure to be too much.

Marseille have now become the second team to have dropped their interest in signing the former Juventus player with the report stating that newly promoted Serie A side Benevento were also priced out of a move for the 31-year-old.

Asamoah’s contract with Inter is due to expire at the end of the upcoming season and the report goes on to explain that Asamoah has been deemed surplus to requirements at the Nerazzurri club, who he has barely played for this season due to injury.

Asamoah has made just 11 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has registered a single assist. His last appearance came at the start of December.
