Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has told newly appointed manager Ronald Koeman that he currently sees his future as more likely away from the club according to a report from Catalan radio station RAC 1, which was aired late last night.

As per the report, the Argentine is understood to have confessed doubts over a long term future with the club who he has spent his entire career with to date. He expressed his displeasure over the current situation at the club and described himself as being more outside of Barcelona than inside.

Spanish news outlet Sport meanwhile report that Messi is considering to think about his future and that there is a belief at Barcelona that the multi-time world player of the year will stick around at the Camp Nou.

Contrary to RAC 1’s report, Sport state Messi has not communicated to the club that he intends to leave but only expressed doubts. In the coming days there will be further meetings between Messi, Koeman and club management relating to his future.
