Inter manager Antonio Conte’s post-match comments have made an already difficult situation even more difficult to repair according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

There is tension between the club and coach due to his comments made after the Serie A season finale against Atalanta and his comments after tonight’s Europa League loss have certainly not made things any easier.

As per the report, Inter’s owners Suning cannot guarantee the total revolution that Conte is seeking and whilst Inter president Steven Zhang could try and be diplomatic and clarify things, the report warns that it will be difficult to heal the rift between the parties.

Conte still has two years left to run on his contract with the club which he earns €12 million a year from. In the event of a separation, it remains to be seen how exactly that will happen whether it be through mutual termination via a severance payment or Conte resigns seeing as Inter have no intention of sacking him.
