Inter are looking to close out the deals for Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali and Chelsea left back Emerson Palmieri, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how Inter CEO Beppe Marotta knows the importance of strengthening the squad soon now that the Europa League campaign has concluded, with the defeat clearly displaying the need to strengthen certain positions. The first one the Nerazzurri are looking to reinforce is the midfield, with 20-year-old Italian Tonali the top target. A deal has already been reached with the player regarding a five-year contract worth €2.5 million net per season, and so now the Milanese club are looking to reach an agreement with Brescia, set to be around €30 million plus add-ons.
The Nerazzurri are then looking to sign Chelsea’s Emerson, the report continues, to strengthen the left wing back role, currently filled by veteran Englishman Ashley Young. Inter are also hoping to sell Croatian forward Ivan Perisic to Bayern Munich, but must wait until after the Champions League final for talks to resume. Bayern want to pay €12 million, whilst the Nerazzurri request €15 million.
