A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has suggested that Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini was the worst on the pitch in the Europa League finals yesterday.

The report details how the 26-year-old Italian, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, received a 4.5 rating, the lowest in the Inter squad, for his disappointing performance yesterday, with Sevilla’s second goal being partly his fault and his overall game being unfocused and unhelpful. Other players in the squad did a little better, like Romelu Lukaku or Danilo D’Ambrosio, who received a 5 rating.

Two Nerazzurri players escaped a low rating, the report continues, defenders Diego Godin and Alessandro Bastoni, who received a 6.5 rating. The young Italian was forced to work hard after Ashley Young failed to contain the pacey Jesus Navas, but still impressed in the biggest game of his career so far, good signs for the Milanese club.
