UK Tabloid Claim Man Utd Join Man City In Being Interested In Inter’s Lautaro Martinez

Manchester City are looking for a long-term replacement for star striker Sergio Aguero, with Inter forward Lautaro Martinez tipped to be that player, amidst interest from Manchester United, according to a report from English tabloid the Mirror earlier today.

The report details how the Sky Blues know they need a strong, young replacement for the aging Argentine veteran and have identified the 23-year-old Nerazzurri striker as an idea. The player impressed this season under coach Antonio Conte, scoring 21 goals and providing seven assists in 49 appearances across all competitions this season.

City will have to compete with Barcelona and rivals Manchester United for Lautaro, the report continues, and so will have to make an offer of at least €100 million for the 23-year-old. The new few weeks will be key to understanding the player’s future, as the Blaugrana are looking to sell multiple players in order to fund the deal for the player. Lautaro has already reached an agreement with the Catalan side.
