Inter are looking to sell multiple players this summer that are deemed no longer needed, despite the fact that the idea of signing Barcelona star Lionel Messi this summer seems impossible, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how signing Messi is a great dream of the club but would be impossible currently, unless he leaves on a free transfer, due to his €700 million release clause. His €50 million wages would be tough to manage but could be handled. Inter are cashing out on multiple unneeded players regardless, such as Austrian winger Valentino Lazaro, who joined Borussia Monchengladbach on a loan deal worth €1.2 million with a buy option fixed at €13.8 million. Joao Mario is also close to joining Benfica for €12 million.
Bayern Munich may sign Ivan Perisic, the report continues, especially if Inter agree to the €12 million offer made by the Bavarian club. Radja Nainggolan won’t return to the Nerazzurri if Antonio Conte remains in charge but could return if Max Allegri or a different coach took over.
If Conte left, Milan Skriniar is more likely to stay at Inter, the report highlights, although Tottenham are willing to pay close to €50 million for the Slovakian. Finally, one of Matias Vecino, Roberto Gagliardini or Marcelo Brozovic will be sold, with Christian Eriksen set to remain the centre of the project.
