Inter’s top managers will be at next week’s meeting involving coach Antonio Conte, including president Steven Zhang and vice president Javier Zanetti, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper la Repubblica.
The report details how the full Nerazzurri leadership will be present at the meeting on Tuesday to discuss Conte’s future, including Zhang, Zanetti, CEO Beppe Marotta, sporting director Piero Ausilio and team manager Gabriele Oriali, the executive most faithful to the 51-year-old Italian coach. The president is hoping to fix the situation and repair the relationships, but an agreement would be sought otherwise should it be unfixable, with a decision expected by Friday.
Conte wants more decision making power, the report continues, and his disagreements with Piero Ausilio and his assistant Dario Baccin are no secret. Ausilio is wanted by Roma and could join the Giallorossi if Conte is confirmed in the role. The Nerazzurri coach also wants to be involved in decisions involving public communications. Inter aren’t considering firing the coach due to his €12 million net per season wages, which he is set to earn for another two years.
