Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali’s arrival at Inter seems certain as the Nerazzurri look to massively strengthen the midfield ahead of next season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 20-year-old Italian midfielder has been the target of the Milanese club for some time now and the player himself accepted an offer from them months ago, believing in the project. Tonali even came back from his holiday early just to sign the five-year contract with the Nerazzurri, showing how close the deal is to completion. Inter and Brescia reached a total agreement of a deal worth around €35 million, a loan with a buy obligation attached.

Other midfield ideas will depend on who is the coach, the report continues. Current coach Antonio Conte wants to sign Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante or Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombélé in order to challenge for the title immediately, whilst potential replacement Massimiliano Allegri would instead focus on enhancing the players already available to him.
