Former Inter defender Andreas Brehme gave the Nerazzurri squad some words on encouragement with a post on his Instagram page yesterday.

The 59-year-old German spent four years of his career with the Milanese club from 1988 to 1992, where he won one league title, a Supercoppa Italiana and a UEFA Cup. He finished as a runner up in both the 1986 World Cup and the 1992 European Championships with Germany, but won the 1990 World Cup.

He posted a photo from one of these occasions and said: “If you want to win never be afraid to lose. Losing is part of the game.”
