Newly appointed Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has told Luis Suarez that he is not part of his project according to a report from Catalan radio station RAC 1, which was aired earlier on today.

The Dutchman called the Uruguayan national team striker this morning and told him that he is not part of his plans and now Suarez will have to negotiate with the club regarding a contract termination before having to go and find himself a new club.

The report goes on to explain that this effectively opens the doors for the possible arrival of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, who Barcelona have been courting for a considerable amount of time as they look to find a striker for the long-term.

Multiple reports in the media have suggested that terms have already been agreed between Barcelona and the newly turned 23-year-old but there is no deal between Inter and Barcelona, who seem to be far apart in negotiations.
