Inter immediately want to address Lautaro Martinez’s future and as a result they have scheduled a meeting with Barcelona according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Sport.

Barcelona are long term admirers of the newly turned 23-year-old striker and the two clubs will meet this week for further talks over the Argentine national team striker.

Barcelona will speak with Inter although it will be difficult for them to meet Inter’s demands for Lautaro without making sales.

Josep Maria Bartomeu, the president of Barcelona, has insisted that the club’s wage bill must be trimmed as the club may not be able to even register Lautaro, should they sign him, if the wage bill is not reduced.

Barcelona are prepared to offer €65 million plus a player with Junior Firpo and Jordi Alba among the candidates who could be included. Inter are meanwhile demanding a sum of €80 million.

Although Barcelona have until October 5 to get a deal done, Inter would prefer to have any deal done and a replacement signed prior to the start of the 2020/21 Serie A season on September 12.
