Inter manager Antonio Conte will specifically request the signing of Chelsea central midfielder N’Golo Kante when he meets with Inter president Steven Zhang according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Libero.

Conte worked with Kante at Chelsea and wants to work with the French midfielder again. Inter management will now evaluate the possible signing of the former Leicester City player, who is valued at no less than €60 million by Chelsea, who he is still under contract with until the end of the 2022/23 season.

The report goes on to explain that in the event Conte does not remain in charge of Inter, the most likely candidate to replace him is Massimiliano ‘Max’ Allegri.

The former Juventus and AC Milan coach would be given a salary in the region of €7 million a year and would use a 4-3-1-2 system in which Christian Eriksen would be a protagonist and Sandro Tonali will be able to lend a hand.
