Inter management will meet today to take stock of the current situation and then Inter president Steven Zhang will meet with Inter manager Antonio Conte tomorrow according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.

There are only two possible outcomes from the meeting between Zhang and Conte. The first is that it is decided Inter will please Conte with a sumptuos transfer market and changes in the club management and continue together whilst the other is that they go their separate ways. In any case a decision needs to be made by the end of the week.

In the event it is the latter, one of two things will happen. Either Conte will resign or an agreement will be reached between the two clubs over severence pay.

If Conte departs, Max Allegri will be the man to replace him although the report from the Rome based news outlet refuse to rule out the possibility that Bologna’s Sinisa Mihajlovic or Sassuolo’s Roberto De Zerbi could take over.
