Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is among the candidates being considered by Roma as they look to appoint a new sporting director according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Roma are currently without a sporting director after they parted ways with Gianluca Petrachi recently and the Giallorossi feel that it will be easier for them to carry out transfer market business with an experienced sporting director.

Roma showed an interest in Juventus’ Fabio Paratici but with him unlikely to leave the Bianconeri, it appears that Ausilio is the only viable option left with Napoli’s Cristiano Giuntoli remaining a luxury alternative at the moment.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Inter remain unsure about whether Antonio Conte will remain at Inter and the report adds that Conte is opposed to staying at Inter with current chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Ausilio.
