Inter could try and include Luis Suarez in negotiations with Barcelona over Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo journalist Francesc Aguilar.

Barcelona have been courting recently turned 23-year-old Martinez for a considerable amount of time now whilst reports in the media have stated that newly appointed Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has told Suarez that he is not part of his plans at the club.

On top of Suarez being a top goalscorer, Aguilar points out that having Suarez in Milan could help Inter in their pursuit to sign Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi who he describes as his best friend.

33-year-old Suarez has been one of the most prolific goalscorers of the past decade and in the 2019/20 season the Uruguayan netted 21 goals and provided a total of 12 assists for his teammates in 36 appearances across all competitions.

Aguilar took to social media platform Twitter to share the news and stated: “Inter could try to include Luis Suárez in the Lautaro Martínez’s deal. First they would get a born scorer, with a better record than the Argentine. Second, if they are serious about Lionel Messi, it would be a way to influence Leo by having his best friend in Milan.”
