Bayern Munich do not wish to pay €20 million to sign Ivan Perisic on a permanent basis from Inter and could turn to a yonger option as a result according to a report in today’s print edition of German news outlet Kicker.

Perisic spent the duration of the recently concluded 2019/20 season on loan with the Bundesliga club. They had an option to sign him outright for €20 million but did not and they continue to not want to pay that sum.

The treble winning German giants could therefore opt for a younger player to provide depth on the wings given Perisic is coming up for 32-years-old.

Depsite Bayern Munich’s reluctance to spend €20 million to sign the Croatian national team player on a permanent basis, the report goes on to explain that they and Inter will meet for talks over Perisic in the coming days. A date has already been set for the meeting and an agreement being reached remains entirely possible.
