Inter have told Sassuolo that they will exercise their option to sign Stefano Sensi on a permanent basis according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.
Inter communicated their decision to the Neroverdi club and Inter have come to this decision despite the various injuries Sensi had during his season on loan with the club which severely limited his playing time.
The report does not provide any details as to the kind of money Inter will pay to retain the Italian national team central midfielder, who made a stellar start to life in a Nerazzurri shirt prior to his injury woes beginning in October.
The 25-year-old, who formerly played for Cesena, made 19 appearances across all competitions for the club. During his time on the park, which totalled just over 1000 minutes, Sensi scored three goals and provided his teammates with a total of four assists.
